We've all got things to do and people to meet. Sometimes we zoom in on one or two things or a couple of folks we know.
The Write Gig
write [rahyt]. –verb (used with object) 1. to trace; to mark the absence of a presence; to unmark all that is no longer but still here. 2. to fill up a blank space with letters. gig [gig] –noun 1. something that whirls. 2. engagement to play jazz, etc. Modern living is like the music of its birth — exhilarating, anxious, exciting and unpredictable. But beneath that sense of unexpectedness is the play of freewill and choice as we navigate through the unseen structure, threatening, at any moment, to tear it apart. The Write Gig is established to observe and mark issues relevant to the modern hyper-stimulating living conditions we experience, and through these observations hope to (just like the way all great and intense jazz solos) inspire and meditate on daily living. Sometimes we write about music; sometimes about life. Sometimes we mark down a sight that inspires deep thought. Or sometimes not.
